Football Wallpaper: My house featured in a German Magazine!!

I'm so proud to share this with you. Do you recognize this picture? What about this German Magazine? YUP it's my house featured in Klassisch Wohnen, an Interiors Magazine, in Germany!! International recognition moves me, and makes me feel more humble. First, because these gentlemen have no idea who I am in Portugal ... that do a program on TV and such ...

Then I can't stop thinking about the irony of it. My work made it to the magazines, yes, but never made any cover in Portugal.

One more international curiosity. Today I received my first contact from a potential advertiser to my blog. What is the curious part?! It is a company of vintage pieces from San Francisco, in the U.S. of America! And what would be more obvious?

The most obvious would have been to have this contact from a company in Portugal... only curious because I even do a program on TV with some visibility and my blog has 3,000 visits per day ...

(and now came a moment of fate when I could start singing FADO - it's a tipical way of singing here, and it's like a lament song ...)

... Oh country so ungrateful to your people...

... you are so full of prejudices and traditions ...

... where it's so hard to accept what's new ...

É com algum orgulho que partilho este momento convosco. Reconhecem esta foto? E esta revista, conhecem? Provavelmente não... Mas sim, é verdade! É a minha casa, que fez a capa e mais 12 páginas, de uma conhecida revista de interiores Alemã! O reconhecimento internacional comove-me, e faz-me sentir mais humilde. Primeiro, porque estes senhores não fazem ideia de quem eu sou em Portugal... que faço um programa em televisão e tal... e que faço umas coisas engraçadas... depois, porque não consigo deixar de pensar, na ironia de nenhum dos meus trabalhos, nunca ter feito nenhuma capa em Portugal.

Mais uma curiosidade internacional é que hoje também recebi o meu primeiro contacto, de um possível anunciante para o meu blog. Qual é a parte curiosa?!? É uma empresa de artigos vintage de San Francisco, in the US of America!!! E o que é que seria mais óbvio?...

O mais óbvio teria sido, receber este contacto de alguma empresa em Portugal... só é curioso porque eu até faço um programa em televisão com alguma visibilidade e este blogue tem 3.000 visitas por dia...

(e agora vinha um momento de fado que podia começar assim...)

...és tão cheio de preconceitos e tradições...

...e te custa tanto aceitar o que é novo...
